Dear Backers,
I hope you all are doing amazing. - If not (Spoiler Alert) Skadu is on it's way to your house and should reach you within this week - I hope that's a reason enough to smile? 😅
Before I start becoming an information booklet again 🤓, I want to thank all of you from the bottom of our hearts (Juzer, I (Hannan) and the entire team!) for your support 🦾, encouragement 🤟 and love 💌.
Over the last 1 year, we came incredibly close to bankruptcy two times, we survived two waves of the pandemic 😷 - lost loved ones, survived a cyclone 🌀 that cut us off the grid for 2 weeks and destroyed our communities, moved cities 📌 to lower our operations expenses, had mental breakdowns 😞 and completely lost track of physical health (sitting on the computer my back is so done, my dad actually made me a kneeling chair so I stop looking like a question mark!) 😂
The worst of it all was our inventory just SITTING in a warehouse in Hong Kong for 3 whole months waiting for a container after we've paid over $90,000/- in fulfilment charges. - This was the most mind numbing and soul crushing experience - EVER!

Could we have done this without your trust? Probably not.
I believe the reason we were able to really crack this was because of all the love we received from all of you, it truly empowered us. I feel like I could walk into any of you tomorrow and sit over a coffee and talk like you're truly a part of our little start-up family. 💕

Velcro Maintenance & Known Issues 📘
Velcro maintenance:
Due to high torque, hot/cold water & various detergent types - the glue bonding the velcro pads and plastic base will eventually give away.
There is a very easy and simple fix to this and can be maintained over time to help you keep your triple head attachment working perfectly for years to come.

Velcro Pads:
If the velcro pads are coming out due to hold/cold water temperatures and hard pulling of the pads during exchange, please follow the following steps:
1. Once the pad completely detaches from the plastic disc, remove it and keep it aside.
2. Clean the plastic disc an velcro pad with a scrapping tool to remove the old glue. (Do not
use a sharp knife or any sharp object)
3. Add any fast drying, strong bond glue that can bond plastic, metal and fabrics. In the US there is Gorilla Glue and in Australia there is UHU Glue - you can find one easily in your region. - If you can't find one, reach out to us and we'll find one for you.
4. Apply a few drops of the glue on the plastic base and stick the velcro pad on top immediately after.
5. Let it dry for an hour.
6. The triple head is now as good as new and ready to go!

Scratch-free pads:
These pads are red in color as compared to the pink ones shown in the Kickstarter video. (They are the same!)
The pads as mentioned in the manual are for delicate surfaces, however they are still made from a similar polymer used in the tough scrubbing pads.
Known Issue: The torque output for Skadu reaches up to 25 kg.cm and if you press too hard on a delicate surface, even with the scratch-free pads you will land up with mild scratches on the surface. This has happened even when we tried micro-fibre cloths. In the micro-fibre cloth trials, the dirt particles left marks when intense pressure was applied against delicate surfaces.
IMPORTANT: Many outer appliance surfaces are delicate surfaces with a single or double layer paint coat on top, Skadu will 100% - without doubt affect the paint coat negatively. So DO NOT attempt to scrub appliances that have a painted finish or a brush finish of aluminium as these are materials that will inevitably get scratched, even if you use a wet wipe over time.
So as a way to test:
Always try Skadu and all of it's brush heads on a small test area of a surface before scrubbing the entire thing, especially if you are concerned about it getting scratched or damaged.
Always make the pads wet and use some detergent that will help soften the pads further.
NEVER apply excessive hand pressure on Skadu over delicate surfaces.

Battery:
The LED indicator is behind the charging button, it's not the brightest star in the universe so you need to check it away from direct light to see the color. Red indicates charging and Green indicates charges. Typically takes about 4-5 hours for a full charge and then you can easily use it for a week or even more!
Read the manual before using Skadu.

Project Happiness Codes - We'll send this out as soon as the last customer gets their Skadu unit.
Refunds: We still have all the units + more of backers who never filled out their surveys. As mentioned previously as and when we sell these units we will be in a position to refund the said amounts. There are currently 76 refunds so it should not be a mountain to climb for us if we do well in selling them off :)

Now that all the rewards have gone to the fulfillment company we all have some breathing space, we have been working on something new something special that can help you have a better experience while Skadu'ing, I'm sharing regular updates on that in the Discord Channel, so do consider joining us there.

By now backers have become friends and there is a free flow of ideas in the chat server and it's a lot more collaborative!
